The scenary at the back of my clinic was very different today. It's so empty. It's nothing to greet me in the morning.As you can see in the photo (left), Mr Fuad was standing on an empty space. And if you can recalled in one of my photos in the blog, it was once occupied by our mobile clinic van, yes, 'Mat Inokom', the van bergerak yang tak bergerak for 2 years!
If you can't, let me refreshed you with this old photo (right). This was once my daily view for the past 3 years.
And for the past 2 years, 'Mat Inokom' was practically stationary & 'tak bergerak' due to massive engine problem. Since then, we have to settle with our 'small rotating fan, oven & cute' van!For your information, yesterday was a very sad day for me & my mobile clinic team. The van was finally towed to it's resting place in Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang. Our van will be torn apart into pieces and will be sold as spare parts.
For that few hard broken minutes, we were there looking at this 2 tow guys who installed few cables, putting some screws, readjusting and finally gave a thumbs up to us.......they are ready to tow the van!I couldn't believed this time will ever come. Throughout his life, 'Mat Inokom' has done
very well.We were able to serve the rakyat during The Tsunami in Pulau Pinang and Kedah. We were there, next to the beach in Kampung Kuala Muda, Kedah. The beach was calm and peaceful but then when we turned our view to the kampung, it gave us the shivers! The whole houses in the kampung were in total demolition!
One secret I would like to share with you is 'Mat Inokom' was so famous even he will be greeted with shouts of approval and hands' byes from other road users. Throughout his services during UMNO general meeting in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur, he had been admired by so many people from all walks of life, from Perlis to Sabah. Indirectly, he gave a very good impression on his bosses and the red big logo on his body!
Now the time has come! Let you rest in peace. May your parts (spareparts) help to revive and prolong the life
of other vans so they can serve better.At this very moment, I've just received a sms from Datuk Hamid, Treasurer of UMNO Youth Malaysia that we will be getting a new van in two to three weeks time! It's great and we are looking forward for the historic day, insyaallah.
